Custom URLs provide direct links for guests to receive special group rates and other parameters set by room blocks. In this article, learn how to create URLs with room and stay parameters, including Arrival Date, Departure Date, Promo Code, Group Code, Room Code, Number of Adults, Number of Children, and Language.
Setting Parameters in the URL—Keys to Success
Take note of these keys to success before building custom URLs:
- All the parameters in this article are available for both Step 1 and Step 2.
- Indicate the group's custom parameters within the the text of the URL. Parameters appear after the question mark (?) that follows the booking step. For example, to restrict bookings to 2 adults, the URL will contain this text: https://brand.com/#/booking/step-1?adults=2
Note the parameter (adults=2) that follows the question mark.

RevRaise supports multiple languages, and custom URLs can send guests directly to translated versions of the site (selected language must be configured).
- If the custom URL will contain a group or promo code, create those codes first.
- URLs can accommodate as many supported parameters as you would like, separated by ampersands (&). For example, this URL is for a group that requires these parameters. Note the ampersands that separate each parameter.

Steps to Create Custom URLs
- Copy the existing URL from the Booking Engine for Step 1, Step 2, or both.
- Paste the URL where it can be edited: A new browser window, Notepad, Google Doc, etc.
- Edit the URL to include custom parameters using the URL Text codes in the table below.
- Test the URL in a new browser window to ensure parameters appear correctly in the Booking Engine.
